Job Description: This senior level analytical scientist will support the product development activities of Pharmaceuticals. Assists manager in planning projects, directions and timeline.
Responsibilities:

- Personnel are responsible for hands-on operation of Packaging equipment like: Labeling machine, Imprinting machine, Sealer, Bottle filling machines, Capper, Induction sealer under the supervision of the Production Supervisor / Team Lead to package oral dosage forms in a cGMP manufacturing facility.
- Operation of In-process testing machines like Balances, Leak tester, Re-Torque machines.
- Perform all duties in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), following the Geopharma Pharmaceutical division’s Quality Manual and Facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Record all pertinent operations in packaging records, logbooks and controlled documents.
- Assemble, Disassembly, Operation and cleaning of Packaging related equipments.
- Assist in routine preventive maintenance of packaging equipment.
- Cleans and maintains production environments.
- Make mechanical & programming adjustments according to manufacturers and product specifications to achieve quality and efficiency standards.
- Verify set-up by inspecting product output before production run (notify QC if needed).
- Complete accurately all set-up and line clearance documentation.
- Inspect and load raw materials as required.
- Set- up packaging equipment as per equipment specific standard operating procedures.
- Setup equipment according to manufacturers and product specifications.
- Set-up, operate, maintain, repair, perform quality check, assist / perform preventative maintenance and complete accurately all documentation related to the following functions and/or as deemed required by the organization.
- Operate designated equipment to meet or exceed machine efficiencies and/ or product standards
Complete all documentation as required.
- Be able to direct other line technicians during packaging run & line clearances to minimize change over time and maximize throughout/machine efficiency as required by company standards.
- Report to Group Leader or Supervisor any issues/problems effecting quality, machine efficiency etc.
- Must be able to troubleshoot / identify packaging equipment for the following:
           o Electrical failures
           o Mechanical failures
           o Programming failures
           o Material failures
           o Compressed air failures
           o Vacuum failures
           o Conveyor belt failures

Requirements:

- At least two year's experience in packaging preferably in Pharmaceutical / Food environment.
- Working knowledge of GMP in an FDA Regulated environment
- Ability to followed detailed written and verbal procedures and function in a highly structured environment
- Able to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, push and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Minimum of a HS diploma or equivalent
