Job Description: This senior level analytical scientist will support the product development activities of Pharmaceuticals. Assists manager in planning projects, directions and timeline.
Responsibilities:

- The Mechanic in the Production / Facilities Maintenance Group is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance of cGMP production equipment, facility equipments that directly supports Product development and commercial drug manufacturing.
- The mechanic shall have the ability to independently perform a variety of routine tasks and tests of a technical nature.
- The mechanic must also be capable of solving most problems with minimum supervision.
- Skilled in the proper maintenance of mechanical seals, gaskets, pumps, agitators, compression machines, encapsulation machine, compactors, coating machines and other equipment used in the drug manufacturing process.
- Skilled in the proper maintenance of Facility & Utility related equipments like HVAC, Dust collection system, Air compressor and Purified water system.
- Confined space entry trained.
- Trained in safe hoist and lifting practices.
- Trained in LO/TO procedures.
- Perform day-to-day work assigned safely and efficiently.
- Perform work safely in accordance with site safety policies and procedures.
- Attend plant and technical training as required to stay current with assigned training requirements. Seek out training as required to stay current.
- Perform maintenance in accordance with SOPs, manufacturer's recommendations and good maintenance practices.
- Participate in Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing, Safety task forces as assigned.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergency maintenance.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of 3 years relevant mechanical equipment and facilities equipment experience in a FDA regulated industry. 
- Previous knowledge of day-to-day facilities operations required; Creative problem solving, customer service, planning, influence skills, and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, OSHA, and NRC regulation preferred
- Computer skills (MS Office); critical thinking; oral and written communications, decision-making skills preferred
