| Job Description: |
Materials Manager responsible for all aspects of the Material Management and Warehouse functions in a cGMP environment. These functions will include but are not limited to ordering, receiving, tracking, handling and shipping of all finished products, raw materials (excipients, components and API’s) as well as operational supplies for the Operations, Research & Development and Laboratory groups located at GeoPharma Pharmaceuticals in Sunrise Florida. |
| Responsibilities: |
- Supervise the staff responsible for providing on-going facilities maintenance services including building and equipment repair and preventative maintenance according to Company policies and procedures and the Facility department’s annual plan.
- Provide metric reports to management on the cost effectiveness and efficiency of facilities maintenance services. Provide on-going communications to all customers on the status of repair and maintenance activities. Periodically evaluate the team’s customer service effectiveness.
- May conduct high level troubleshooting of building equipment such as HVAC, Air Compressor.
- May assist in developing time and cost estimates on facility modifications and implementing them on time and within budget.
- May participate on project teams involved in the allocation of space and the planning of future expansions.
- May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
- Interacting with all levels of internal personnel and external vendors requiring the ability to communicate verbally and in writing the Facilities department plan and objectives and to gain cooperation from various parties.
- Effectiveness in this role requires an in-depth knowledge of the relevant building control systems and trades, and facilities industry practices.
- Job encounters problems of moderate scope and complexity with occasional variations from the norm.
- Exercises judgment within generally defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
- Timeliness and accuracy are required in this position; errors in work could cause delays in schedules.
- Supervises the work of exempt and/or non-exempt personnel.
- Effectively supervise maintenance technicians responsible for pharmaceutical production equipment.
- Manage capital and major maintenance projects within approved dollar limits.
- Manage outside contractors, manage preventive maintenance program to minimize manufacturing downtime, manage emergency equipment repairs by problem assessment, problem solving, and assignment of work to proper technicians.
- Ensure safe working environment through training, awareness, and compliance to safety guidelines and SOPs.
- Provides performance evaluation and management for direct reports.
- Establish and maintain effective 2 way communication with employees and production personnel.

| Requirements: |
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institute with major in Chem, Mech, Elect. Certification . A minimum of 3 years relevant facilities management experience with at least 5 – 7 years total facilities experience in a FDA regulated industry.
- Creative problem solving, customer service, planning and influence skills required. Working knowledge of relevant building maintenance systems, building codes and other related regulatory requirements necessary.
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, OSHA, and NRC regulation preferred
- Computer skills (MS Office); critical thinking; oral and written communications, decision-making skills, experience in change management.
